Despite the small field, this was one of the most contentious Prince of Wales renewals in recent memory, with all but one of the entrants exiting the Queen's Plate, the closest finish in history (the margin looked to be less than an inch and it took 10 minutes to decided the winner from the photo), and the lone filly in the field almost beating the boys in the second leg of a Triple Crown.
