The undercard feature on Monday was the $67,700 Castle Royale Stakes for 3-year-old fillies going 1 1/16 miles on the turf. 4-1 third choice Miss Shop raced near the back of the pack for the backstretch run, chasing the pace of 46.57 and 1:10.25 of 7-2 second choice Somethingaboutbetty. Through the homestretch, Miss Shop closed well on the outside to catch the pacesetter inside the 1/8 pole to win by 1 1/4 lengths in a time of 1:40.04. It was another 3/4 length back to 3-1 favorite Pure Incentive in third.
