The $200,000 Jenny Wiley Stakes (G2) saw eight older fillies and mares travel 1 1/16 miles over the turf course. 6-5 favorite Wend stalked the pace in fifth, then took over the lead mid-stretch and held off the late move of 7-2 second choice Asi Siempre to win by 1 1/2 lengths in 1:41.34. Winning rider Edgar Prado said, " She can run on the front or come from behind. She ran some tough races last year and she came back real good this year. There's a long year ahead, and she just did a super job. She was very powerful down the stretch, very strong." Winning trainer Bill Mott said she would start next in the Churchill Downs Distaff Turf Mile or the Just a Game Stakes, with the Diana Handicap at Saratoga a later goal.
