Gio Ponti, the Eclipse champion older male and turf horse is coming off a 2nd place finish to Zenyatta in the Breeders' Cup Classic and is a favorite in the $10 million Dubai World Cup (G1). He galloped 5/8 mile at Meydan Racecourse on Tuesday morning under assistant trainer Christophe Lorieul. Lorieul, assistant to Christophe Clement said, "As soon as I took him over to the rail, he was all about business. I am very pleased with him. He is back to his normal routine now. We didn't want to work him but we wanted to do a little something so he could stretch his legs. He is looking better and better. So far, so good."
