Jockey Patrick Valenzuela said, "My horse ran a very big race. The winner was a tough horse today but my horse ran a super race. He's run with some great company in the past and he deserved to run a good race."

The 10-1 shot stayed within 2 lengths of the lead for the first 3/4 mile, gained a short lead in mid-stretch but was easily passed by the favorite, finishing second beaten 2 1/4 lengths at the line.
