Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" Day at Santa Anita was the $250,000 Chandelier Stakes (G1), formerly known as the Oak Leaf, for 2-year-old fillings going 1 1/16 miles looking for automatic entry into the Breeders' Cup
Juvenile Fillies. Executiveprivilege, undefeated in 4 starts including the Del Mar Debutante (G1) was sent off as the 3-10 favorite in the field of 8 over 5-1 Salamera, second in the Adirondack (G2) at Saratoga last out, and 9-1 third choice Scarlet Strike off her maiden win at third asking.
Jockey Rafael Bejarano sent Executiveprivilege to the lead first time by and she set fractions of 23.91, 48.41, and 1:13.45 while pressed by 15-1 Miss Empire to her outside. Entering the lane, Bejarano asked the favorite for run as Executiveprivilege left the field in her wake, passing the post 6 1/4 lengths in front of late-running Scarlet Strike in 1:44.95. It was another 1 3/4 lengths back to Miss Empire third.
