Entering the stretch, the pacesetters tired badly allowing 6-1 Notassharpasuthink to take a short lead midstretch through 7/8 in 1:25.41. With the field bunched up in the final furlong, 31-1 Santina Dond poked her head in front for the win in 1:39.62 over 9-1 Happy Choice. It was just 1/2 a length back to 13-1 Lily Again third.
Winning trainer Gennadi Dorochenko said, "I thought she deserved a chance in here". The field was so tight at the winning post, the 10th place finisher and 2-1 favorite Race to Urge was only beaten 2 lengths.
