Trainer "Speedy" Smithwick Jr. said, "I was concerned about the mile maybe being a little bit short for her. But she ran well. I wish there'd been a little bit more pace, but there was a pretty good pace, though, for here. We had her down at Fair Grounds and she got sick and missed a bit of time. She should come (forward) from this race."
