Mister Big, a son of Grinfromeartoear, has been one of the most consistent and successful performers in the sport. With career earnings of over $4 million, he is the second richest pacer of all time. This multiple Dan Patch and Nova Award winner won all the major races in his division as a five- year-old and paced 18 miles in 1:49 or lower. From 85 career starts, he has 34 wins, 20 seconds and 11 thirds. He is owned by Joseph Muscara of Huntingdon Valley, PA, and stood his first season as a stallion at Tara Hills Farm in Port Perry, Ontario with a full book of 150 mares, and then shuttled to Australia for the southern hemisphere season, arriving on August 2. He was fast-tracked for induction into the Hall.

Joe Muscara Jr. (son of owner Joe Sr.) accepted the ring from from Darryl Kaplan, manager of industry communications for Standardbred Canada. Muscara said, "We're in the horse racing business, but more importantly we're in the entertainment business. If we don't entertain, we won't have a business for long. Mister Big was not only a great racehorse he was also a great entertainer. He trained on the track and in the pool like a champion, he knew when to work hard, and when to rest. He did everything right with an effortless manner both on and off the track. I never knew an animal or a person that was happy doing what they did or being who they were like Mister Big. We will see Mister Big in Australia and we'll tell the big guy what a really nice affair they held in his honor!"
