Winner of the Futurity at Belmont was fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Finished a disappointing 6th in the Louisiana Derby for his 2008 debut. Came back in the Wood Memorial and chased War Pass the entire race before getting the better of him at the finish to win by 1 1/4 lengths. In the Kentucky Derby, he stayed within 4 lengths of the pace for the first 3/4 mile, but showed no late rally in the stretch to finish fourth beaten 11 lengths.
