Won a maiden special weight at Hollywood Park and the Gold Rush Stakes at Golden Gate last year. Won the San Rafael Stakes at Santa Anita for his 2008 debut then was second by a half length to Colonel John in the Sham Stakes. Came back in the Santa Anita Derby to finish 4th after being far back early. Skipped the Derby and Preakness, went to the Lone Star Derby instead which he won.
