In 2007 he was 3rd in the Kentucky Derby, 1st in the Preakness, and 2nd in the Belmont Stakes, then won the Jockey Club Gold Cup and the Breeders' Cup Classic, and was named the Eclipse Award Champion 3-year-old Male and Horse of the Year. In 2008 he won the Dubai World Cup, Stephen Foster, Woodward, and Jockey Club Gold Cup, and closed out his career with a 4th place finish in the Breeders' Cup Classic, and was named Champion Older Male and Horse of the Year. He was retired to Lane's End Farm near Lexington, KY, with a $75,000 stud fee for 2009.
