A $1.5 million purchase at the Barrett's Sale, his only win last year was a maiden special weight at Belmont. Won his first start of the year in an allowance at Gulfstream then was 3rd in the Swale Stakes there. Shipped to Aqueduct for the Gotham and won going away, but with the slowest Beyer figure ever for that race since they started doing them in 1991. Shipped to Hawthorne to win the Illinois Derby by 2 1/4 lengths in his final Derby prep.
