Was undefeated in 3 starts before losing to Great Hunter in the Lane's End Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland and Street Sense in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, where he was second in both. He does have a win at Churchill Downs in the Bashford Manor and an impressive last to first win in the Hopeful at Saratoga. Had bad luck in his first start of the year, finishing 5th in the Risen Star at the Fair Grounds after dodging a fallen horse, but came back to win the Louisiana Derby easily in another last to first effort. Disappointing sixth in the Kentucky Derby coming off an 8 week layoff.
