Winner of the Kentucky Jockey Club at Churchill Downs in November, is working out at Palm Meadows. Finished a dismal 8th in the Fountain of Youth at Gulfstream Park and disappointed again with a 7th place finish in the Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn. Tried again in the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct and finished 5th. In the Kentucky Derby, he raced near the back of the field about 11 lengths off the pace, but had nothing left for the stretch finishing 7th beaten 15 lengths.
