Was nothing special last year with only a maiden special weight win at Saratoga. This year he won an allowance at Gulfstream impressively, then came back in the Fountain of Youth where he was steadied early and never got in the race, finishing 9th. Went in the Lane's End at Turfway next and won by 2 1/2 despite being 4 wide. In the Kentucky Derby, he raced in 14th about 10 lengths off the pace and was never a factor, finishing 19th beaten 50 3/4 lengths.
