Vase entrant Scorpion galloped on the turf with jockey Seamus Heffernan aboard. He said, "I think we will get into the money. He's in good form and I think he is getting better with age. He was quite a weak three-year-old but he is stronger now and ran a good race in America. Surprisingly, for a horse by Montjeu, he will like the ground at Sha Tin as he has a fast ground, quick action. Obviously I would like there to be plenty of pace, but I would not be worried about going on with Scorpion if there wasn't. He is adaptable."
