Most of the contenders for the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Races had already put in their last serious works earlier in the week, so they mostly went out for maintenance gallops on Friday morning, just two days before the big event.

Collier Hill, a top contender for the Vase, went out on the turf on Friday morning. Regular jockey Dean McKeown, aboard for the work, said "We didn't go too fast today. We'll show you what he is really made off on Sunday."
