The $500,000 3-Year-Old Filly Trot saw 3-1 second choice Blur lead every step of the way and easily hold off the late charge of 6-5 favorite Flawless Bluestone to win by just a neck in a time of 1:56.1. It was a length back to 9-1 shot Just Like A Dream in third. Trainer Trond Smedshammer said, I don't know if you can teach them that [to fight off horses] but she's just sharp," said Smedshammer. "She's sound and fresh. She hasn't raced that much since Hambletonian Oaks. She's still pretty fresh for so late in the year. " Winning driver Brian Sears added, "I knew Dave (Miller with Flawless Bluestone) was going to the front. I was able to follow him up to the lead. I just didn't want to be the last one on the front. That's the way she likes to race. She's been really sharp the last few starts."
