In the $500,000 3-Year-Old Filly Pace, 13-1 longshot Belovedangel closed strongly in deep stretch to just get up for the win over 3-1 second choice Cabrini Hanover, in a time of 1:52.1. 8-5 favorite Restive Hanover set the early pace but had nothing for the drive and finished sixth. Winning driver Ron Pierce said, "Coming into this race, I wanted to race from the back. I wanted to give her a trip. We had to wiggle out of there. I had a ton of horse and nowhere to go. The horse outside of me finally gave me some room, and I was able to squeeze out. I knew I had plenty of horse."
