2006 Hambletonian Day at the Meadowlands

25-1 longshot Armbro Dancer angled out of the pocket in the stretch and held off a late bid by 2-5 favorite My Little Dragon to win the $325,000 Mistletoe Shalee, for three-year-old filly pacers. Driven by Ron Pierce, Armbro Dancer took the early lead and yielded to 6-1 Bolero Toki along the backstretch before finding room late and drawing off to a 1 3/4 length victory in 1:49.3. It was three and a quarter lengths back to 35-1 Lonesome Day in third. Armbro Dancer, another daughter of Blissfull Hall, has won 10 of 17 career starts for trainer Jimmy Takter and owner Louie Camara of Puslinch, Ontario. She has career earnings of $393,579.
