5-1 second choice Marnie Hall emerged the winner of a fierce stretch duel with 4-5 favorite Burning Point to take the $195,000 Golden Girls for 3-year-old pacing mares by a nose. Driven by Daniel Dube, Marnie Hall paced to a career best 1:49 clocking over the defending Golden Girls champ Burning Point. 9-1 Born Storyteller rallied for third. Marnie Hall notched her third win this season for trainer Mark Silva and owner Daniel Plouffe of Bedford, Quebec. The four-year-old daughter of Blissfull Hall has been third or better in 10 of 11 starts this season and now boasts earnings of $532,187.
