Winning trainer Joe Seekman said, "I was a little surprised; Ronny said he was going to look for a hole if someone would let him in because they they'd want to ride on his back and he just marched on and it was a surprise to me around the half but the horse is a good horse. I thought he had a better shot when Ronny tipped him, he kind of made a quick decision to come slightly off his back and I thought, He has some pace, it's going to be good."
