Terence Dulay
Cozzene won the Breeders' Cup Mile in 1985 after finishing third in the inaugural edition of that event. Now 26 years of age, he has sired 1,576 winners over a 17-year stud career, with his runners earning over $69 million. Among his many offspring, which include 12 millionaires, 4 champions, and 30 graded stakes winner, he sired 2 Breeders' Cup winners, Classic winner Alphabet Soup and Turf winner Tikkanen. His $40,000 stud fee sounds like a bargain with credentials such as these. At his advanced age he is almost all white, and given the time of year, he had a nice thick winter coat. He posed nicely for the cameras and was an impressive sight. Click here for more photos of the Gainesway stallions.
