Red Rock Canyon, sent out as the rabbit for stablemate Soldier of Fortune, went to the front and got fractions of 24.28, 47.06, 1:10.20, and 1:33.86 over the firm course while as many as 1 1/2 lengths in front. Turning for home, Soldier of Fortune took over the lead, getting 1 1/4 miles in 1:58.73, but he tired in the final 1/16. Conduit closed from 8th early to win going away by 1 1/2 lengths over Eagle Mountain in 2:23.42. It was another 2 1/4 lengths back to Dancing Forever third, and a head back to favorite Soldier of Fortune fourth.

The $3 million Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Turf (G1) features older horses going 1 1/2 miles on the turf. A field of 11 faced the starter on Saturday, including 8-5 favorite Soldier of Fortune, third in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe last out. Turf Classic winner Grand Couturier was the 5-1 second choice over 6-1 Conduit, winner of the St. Leger last out.
