Winning trainer David Hofmans said, "I thought we'd be closer but when I saw a 41-and-change half, I knew we had a chance. He was so far back, but Richie (Migliore) did a great job. He deserves all the credit. The horse really bounced out of his last race. He's never been better and he loves this course. This is his fourth win over it."

Jockey Richard Migliore added, "I just dropped my hands early and let him relax because I knew they were going fast up front. I didn't want to start to move until we crossed over the dirt, which is where a little bit of my experience riding out here helped. When we turned for home, I thought we had a chance of getting something. But when we got to the 1/16 pole, I thought we're going to win this thing. I always had faith in this colt."
