A field of ten older fillies and mares went 1 1/4 miles on the turf in the $2 million Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1). Sun Chariot Stakes winner Halfway to Heaven was the 5-2 favorite over Yellow Ribbon winner Wait A While at 3-1 and First Lady winner Forever Together at 5-1.

Jockey Frankie Dettori sent Folk Opera to the front early and tried to slow the pace down, getting fractions of 25.46, 50.02, 1:14.78, and 1:38.12 over the firm going. Turning for home, Folk Opera tired allowing the closers to make their bids for the lead. Visit, 8th early, found room along the rail to gain the lead at the 1/8 pole, but her lead was short-lived as Forever Together, 7th early, rallied on the outside to get up by 3/4 length over late-running Sealy Hill, in 2:01.58. It was just a head back to Wait a While third.
