Accompanied by trainer Bill Mott, Juvenile Fillies entrant Zee Zee schooled in the paddock and then galloped 1 mile on the dirt. Mott said, "She's doing well and she works very well on the dirt. We felt like the race was not limited to one or two superstars. We felt it was a wide-open race if you had a good horse, so we're in there taking our chances. She's a very consistent, hard-trying filly."
