J P's Gusto went to the track at 9 a.m. for a 1 1/2 mile gallop under exercise rider Martin DeRubin. Trainer David Hofmans oversaw the exercise at Churchill Downs and declared all well with his Breeders’ Cup Juvenile entrant. “He stood in the gate, too, and all is good,” the veteran California conditioner said. “We beat the Zenyatta rush, so we were OK.”
