RESULTS ARE HERE!

Final entries were taken Tuesday and post positions drawn the 2007 Breeders' Cup World Championships to be held on October 26-27 at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, New Jersey, for the first time ever. It will be the 24th running of the event and it will also be the first time it will be run over two days with three additional races added on Friday, raising the total purses to $23 million. Post times and race order are as listed in the table below with first post at 12:30pm Eastern for the Juvenile Fillies.

A field of nine was entered in the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic – Powered by Dodge, it is a quality group and the outcome of this race will likely determine who gets the title of Horse of the Year. Kentucky Derby and Travers winner Street Sense, Whitney and Woodward winner Lawyer Ron, Preakness and Jockey Club Gold Cup winner Curlin, Haskell and Brooklyn Handicap winner Any Given Saturday, and Swaps and Goodwood winner Tiago are all pre-entered, making it one of the best fields ever for the Classic.

Once again this year the event will be televised on ESPN and ESPN2. The three new races will be shown Friday from 4:00-6:00pm Eastern on ESPN2 in the US and TSN in Canada. The main event of eight races will be shown on Saturday from Noon to 7:00pm Eastern on ESPN and TSN alternate feed in Canada.
