This year the Breeders' Cup World Championships will be held on November 4th at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky for the 6th time in the history of the event. It will be the 23rd running of the eight race series worth a total of $20 million in purse money after the purse increase earlier this year. Post times and race order are as listed in the table below with first post at 12:30pm for the Juvenile Fillies.
Final entries were taken, post positions drawn, and morning line odds assigned on Wednesday November 1st with 104 horses competing in the eight races. The big showdown is the Classic with 3-year-old Bernardini at even odds against Argentina-bred Invasor at 5-1 and California hero Lava Man at 6-1, and Horse of the Year honors are very likely at stake here.
