Morning workouts at Lone Star Park will be open to the public, free of charge, for the nine days leading up to the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships on Oct. 30. "Daybreak at Lone Star," an unusual opportunity to see the world's top Thoroughbreds up close, will run 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. every morning from Thursday, Oct. 21 to Friday, Oct. 29. Fans will be permitted to view workouts at ground level by the East Trackside Patio or from an elevated perspective at Champions, the second-floor banquet room just past the finish line. These locations are accessible by entering Lone Star Park through the East Gate Entrance near the valet parking area. Parking will also be free. Lone Star Park will enhance the morning workout experience with commentary by track announcer Michael Wrona and interviews with horsemen. In addition, breakfast will be available beginning at 7 a.m. Almost every horse participating in the eight Breeders' Cup races will appear on the Lone Star Park track prior to raceday, either for a timed workout over the surface or for less-strenuous gallops to maintain fitness.
Lone Star Park's inaugural Fall Breeders' Cup Meeting for Thoroughbreds will run Thursdays to Sundays for 19 racing days from Oct. 1 to Oct. 31.
