Here is a first listing of some top contenders for this year's Kentucky Derby on May 3rd. This list is sure to change many times over the next three months as the late bloomers start to blossom and injuries start to take their toll. Already one hot prospects have fallen by the wayside due to injury, Canadian champioin Added Edge. Toccet was thought to be out with bad ankles, but they are improving quicker than expected so he is back on the trail for now. Because it is so early, we are still waiting for some info like the list of nominees and dual qualifiers. That should be out in a week or two.
