Win a copy of Crushing the Cup 2004!

Dateline: 10/09/04

The contest is now closed. Congratulations to the winners: Susan Ladmer, Dennis Cook, and Walter Pitcher. Thanks to all who entered. The correct answer was Wild Again who was an upset winner in the first Breeders' Cup Classic in 1984.

Just in time for the Breeders' Cup, here is your chance to win a copy of Jim Mazur and Peter Mallett's Crushing the Cup 2004 ($29.95 cover price). This book has 150 pages of detailed stats for all eight Breeders' Cup races and can give you a big edge in separating the contenders from the pretenders when handicapping them.

To win, all you have to do is answer the trivia question below between now and 8pm EDT Saturday October 16th. If you get it right, your name will be entered in the drawing for one of three copies available. Only one entry per email address will be allowed in the drawing. The winners will be drawn and notified on the evening of October 16th, so be sure to check your email that evening or Sunday morning so you can send me your mailing address right away if you are a winner. I will mail the books on Monday October 18th so they will hopefully arrive in time for the Breeders' Cup. Sorry, no entries from outside the US and Canada since there is no way they could arrive quick enough.

Good luck with the contest! Here is the trivia question:
