World Thoroughbred Championships Contenders

Updated: 10/24/01

Final entries are now available here.

On October 27th, Belmont Park will host the World Thoroughbred Championships (formerly known as the Breeders' Cup) for the 3rd time in the 18 year history of the event. The eight race series will be televised live on NBC from 1:00 to 6:00pm Eastern time and the audio portion will also be broadcast live on the internet via Real Audio. Below is the race schedule with post times where each race name links to a page with info on the top contenders for that race with photos of many of them. Drop by each and take a look at who is likely to run and start your handicapping now! It is still a bit early and many sites don't have info online yet for the Breeders' Cup, so keep checking back as more info will be added when it becomes available.
