At Haydock, the entry road was moated with a citric acid wash as foot and mouth precaution.

Admission to the afternoon event of 6 races was £10/person. The overall facility is quite nice, with Tattersalls being quite modern. Czar Wars, a tip from a bloke on the bus, made the afternoon worthwhile, coming in a £42 winner.

It was an experience that any horseracing enthusiast could enjoy. I'm ready to do it again, now that I've got the trains figured out.
