The feature race today was the 58th running of the Grade 1 New York Turf Writers Cup steeplechase. The winner was Campanile (#10 at the right) ridden by Blythe Miller and trained by Janet Elliot. You can see the chart here.
Another feature today was the jockey foot race held between the 8th and 9th races. It started with the jockeys breaking from the gate and then handing off to a second jockey who would bounce the rest of the way down the stretch on a huge rubber ball.
The winner was Pat Day but the cutest thing about the event was Jose Santos' son in his little jockey outfit of Lemon Drop Kid's silks (at the right).

The start of the jockey race.
