Horse Mania!
Horse Mania!

Dateline: 07/06/00

A herd of 79 unique equines has invaded Lexington, Kentucky! Horse Mania is a collaboration between the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association and the Lexington Arts and Cultural Council which will culminate in a charity auction on December 2nd to benefit of the sponsoring business and a fund for public art. Five percent of the proceeds will go to cover the expenses of the exhibit while the rest will be evenly divided between a charity of the business's choice and the public art fund set up by the LACC. The horses will be on display at various locations around Lexington from July 1st to November 15th.

Each horse is the work of a different artist with a business sponsor covering the expenses of creating it. A full list of all the horses with artist and sponsor can be viewed here. Click on the small picture to see it full size.
