Entries were drawn and post positions selected this morning for the 144th running of the Queen's Plate, the oldest continuously run stakes race in North America. A field of 13 horses was entered with Plate Trial winner Mobil made the morning line favorite at 2-1 with stable mate Wando the second choice at 7-2. Again this year the new rule was used to allows horses with the same ownership to run uncoupled in races of $1 million or more, so the two horses favorites, both owned by Gus Schickedanz, will run uncoupled.
Post time for the Queen's Plate is Sunday at 5:07pm EDT as the ninth race on the card at Woodbine. It will be shown live on Rogers Sportsnet in Canada from 4:00 - 5:30pm EDT and online from Woodbine's website. Free past performances are available from Daily Racing Form and Glenners has free selections available now.
Below are the entries for the Queen's Plate. The race is open to Canadian-bred 3-year-olds, distance is 1 1/4 miles, purse is $1,000,000, and all horses carry 126 pounds. Click the horse's name to see full info on him including a photo where available.

As in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, the selection order is drawn at random and then the connections of each horse have ninety seconds to announce their post position when called upon after a five minute break for consultation. Favorite Mobil and his stable mate and second choice Wando were drawn to select 4th and 5th, with trainer Mike Keogh selecting post 4 for Wando and jockey Todd Kabel selecting post 6 for Mobil.
