The packed stands from the infield prior to the Manhattan. No, the stands are not bent like that. I spliced 3 photos together to show the whole thing so the angle is off on the ends.

Jerry Bailey enjoys a quiet moment away from the crowds in the paddock prior to the Manhattan. For some reason, I really liked this picture.

The Secretariat statue in the middle of the paddock which was draped with a blanket of carnations for the big day.

Penny Chenery presented the trophy for the Riva Ridge Stakes.

Jim McKay checks out his program between races.

Shug McGaughey looking perplexed as usual.

Nick Zito and Sonny Hine in the paddock prior to the 2nd race.

Chris Lincoln in the winner's circle on camera.

Jerry Bailey practices a new levitation style of riding. Actually I just caught him in the process of dismounting but it made a funny looking picture.

Real Quiet having a morning gallop and bath the day before the Belmont.

Real Quiet had a ton of fans in the paddock.
