Manhattan Handicap Results
Dateline: 06/10/00Epsom Derby winner High-Rise and Woodford Reserve Turf Classic winner Manndar were co-favorites at 3-1 but finished at the opposite ends of the pack as Manndar rallied from last to win by a length over longshot Boatman. High-Rise never seemed to get into the race and finished last beaten 19 1/4 lengths. According to trainer Kiaran McLaughlin his jockey said he took a bad step turning for home so he wrapped up on him. He seemed to be fine afterwards though. Manndar will be pointed for the Breeders' Cup with stops in either California for the Eddie Read or the Arlington Million.
