The Kentucky Oaks

Fleet Renee, winner of four straight including the G1 Ashland, is the favorite at 5-2 followed by Flute, who almost didn't get in the race, at 3-1. Flute, who was 2nd in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks but still has the lowest earnings of any filly in the race, got in when Scoop was declared from the race due to a lung infection.
Past performances for the race are available for free online from the Daily Racing Form here. The races will be televised on ESPN2 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. EDT with post time for the Oaks at 5:43 p.m. I will be there so check back Friday night for photos and results.
The race is 1 1/8 miles with a purse of $500,000 and all the fillies will carry 121 lbs. Two fillies are part of an entry so there will be a 1 and 1A.
