Secret Status rallied from 13th to win going away by 6 1/2 lengths over pacesetter Rings a Chime while Classy Cara came from last to be third. There was no clear cut favorite with Kumari Continent having the lowest odds at 4.7-1 and Secret Status was second choice at 4.9-1. The gorgeous weather brought out a record crowd of 106,156 easily beating the previous record set last year.
