a new series from Animal Planet

Thoroughbred is a new TV series on the cable channel Animal Planet which will premiere on Tuesday April 3rd at 8:00pm Eastern and Pacific. The series will run for 13 episodes and deals with many aspects of life in a horse racing family.

The series chronicles the life and times of Bonita Farm outside Baltimore, Maryland, and the Boniface family who own and run it. From a foal's first steps to training a horse to become a champion, the series will showcase the hard work it takes to get a horse to the races and the love the people in the business have for their charges. Thoroughbred will make its world television premiere on Animal Planet on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 from 8-8:30 PM (ET/PT). The 13-part series will regularly air on Animal Planet on Tuesdays from 8-8:30 PM (ET/PT) and Saturdays from 7-7:30 PM (ET).

Thoroughbred is a production of Roundabout Productions for Animal Planet. For Roundabout, Nancy LeBrun is executive producer, Peter Koeppen is series producer and Eugenie Vink is series director. For Animal Planet, Andrea Davis is associate producer and David E. Gerber is executive producer and vice president of production.
