2001 Godolphin Seven Stars Competition

Dateline: 03/01/01

Last year's competition offered only 3 huge prizes but this year they will spread the wealth around a bit more with prizes totalling $500,000 US. This year instead of just three top prizes there will be seven, plus the top scorer from each country which doesn't win one of the top prizes and has at least 250 entries will also get a prize.

Simply select seven horses from Godolphin’s horses-in-training. During the period of the competition, March 24th to December 16th 2001, your horses will win points depending on how well they run. You have two options for choosing your horses. You can either study the form and breeding for each or you can use the "Lucky Dip" entry to get random choices.

This year you will get email notification when one of your horses is entered to run making it much easier to keep track of the lengthy contest.

First prize is $150,000 US plus a stunningly designed award, specially commissioned for the Seven Stars competition, that will have a value of approximately $50,000 US.

Prize Rank  Prize Money
First  $150,000 US
Second  $100,000 US
Third    $50,000 US
Fourth    $25,000 US
Fifth    $20,000 US
Sixth    $15,000 US
Seventh    $10,000 US

The first three prize winners and their partners will also fly First Class to Dubai as the guests of Godolphin for seven nights in duplex suites at the stunning Burj Al Arab in the Jumeirah Beach Complex. To round off their stay the prize winners will enjoy a memorable race day at the 2002 Dubai World Cup.

Consolation prizes of $1,000 each will be awarded to entrants with the highest number of points from each country which does not have a representative in the first seven. These prizes will be awarded provided a minimum of 250 entries have been received from that particular country.
