A closer look at race 8

Maneland exited an authoritative victory in his South Florida debut three weeks ago. The son of Mane Minister outkicked a classy group of turf runners, crossing the wire an easy two lengths clear of his closest rival. It marked the third victory in his five turf events, so it’s pretty safe to say that the 5-year-old enjoys running over the inner surface.

He’s shown the ability to close stoutly after settling into a mid-pack position. This running style will be an advantage for him in here, as there are a number of early speed types entered and it should set up for a heated opening pace. Having Mr. Patient, Pat Day, on board virtually guarantees that Maneland will avoid getting caught in a suicidal battle up front. Watch for Day to get his charge to relax while his rivals go head-to-head for the lead, then he’ll be able to sweep past his tiring foes down the lane. Let's play Maneland to win along with some exacta and trifecta tickets with Hibernian Rhapsody and Draw Again.

A closer look at race 5

Tyler Ef’s connections have to be licking their chops heading into this race, because their 6-year-old will get a dream trip behind the abundance of speed in here. The son of Claim has had success at Tampa, winning three of seven attempts. Interestingly, those victories came in three straight races, all of which were against tougher fields than he’ll be facing in here. This hard-knocking gelding should be able to start another winning streak at the Oldsmar track today! Let's play Tyler Ef to win and then play some exacta and trifecta tickets using Bensonhurst Bull and Sunshine Tom.
