Quality Road (right) romped as the favorite in the 2010 Woodward Stakes (G1) winning by 4 3/4 lengths over Mythical Power and Tranquil Manner. Also on the card, longshot Here Comes Ben won the Forego Stakes (G1) over Big Drama and Vineyard Have, while C.S. Silk won the Addison Mallery Stakes. Get the results, charts, and photos here.

Romped is an understatement. He was hand ridden and still well clear of the field.
However, I did see signs of his 2009 Breeders’ Cup Classic days, with him bucking before entering the starting gate. He definitely has talent, I’m just not convinced that he or Rachel Alexandra will be able to keep their tactical speed for an entire 1 1/4 race.
With the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Classic coming up, it certainly will be interesting to see who wins, or even who enters!
