Don't deprive fans of Mineshaft in Classic

A really great open letter from ESPN's Bill Finley to Willam S. Farish the owner of Mineshaft. It really puts forth the reasons why he should not skip the Breeders' Cup Classic. I agree with him that it would be a shame to retire him now when it would take a lot of the shine off what is supposed to a championship day to not have one of the best horses of the year run. Read the letter here on ESPN. Update: Mineshaft was retired on 10/03 due to chips in his ankle.
